My name is Javier Vargas, and I grew up here in Temecula. I am truly passionate about teaching Spanish and what its culture means around the world.
I majored in History at the University of California in 2011. I acquired a Minor in Art History and Spanish, and became a teacher in 2012. I am a native Spanish speaker and had the privilege to live and study both Spanish and history in Salamanca, Spain where I truly fell in love with the language. The University of Salamanca is the 1st university in Spain and the 3rd oldest in Europe. It is renowned for its purest form of Castilian Spanish, having had students like Miguel De Cervantes, Hernán Cortés, and Fray Luis de León as alumni and through where the Spanish language was “born” or made official. With my love for history, art history, and language, I am constantly seeking to draw a real life connection between them all with hopes of inspiring travel and application of the target language. I look forwards to working with each and every one of your children. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me through e-mail at [email protected] Thank you for your interest in this program. Best Regards, Javier Vargas |
